ArrangeMe member Cody Fry receives GRAMMY nomination

Artist/arranger Cody Fry recently chose ArrangeMe to publish his stunning new arrangement of the Beatles classic "Eleanor Rigby," and last week it was announced as a nominee for "Best Arrangement, Instruments & Vocals" at the 64th GRAMMY Awards.

Cody Fry is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter/composer/producer and had a viral TikTok hit called "I Hear a Symphony" from his third album, Flying. Fry has recently embarked on a new creative journey called Symphony Sessions, from which his cover of "Eleanor Rigby" was the first release.

About the Arrangement

According to Fry, the lyric "all the lonely people" took on a whole new meaning in the midst of the pandemic and he was inspired to create a brand new, fully orchestrated setting of the song that features a 500-voice "virtual choir" of singers from all over the world.

He put out a call to his fans via social media and had them send in recordings of themselves singing the parts he arranged and later added them to the final mix.

Check out the score video (above) to take a listen and also check out his "song breakdown" video (side) to get some insight into his creative process and motivation behind the arrangement.

In His Own Words

I’m so excited to be able to share the sheet music for ‘Eleanor Rigby.’ I hope that it allows more people to engage with the arrangement and even perform it themselves! A big thank you to ArrangeMe and Hal Leonard for helping to make this possible! And obviously thank you to The Beatles for creating timeless songs that grow more meaningful with age.
